Trade-offs

In attempting to maximise the good, we eventually create more harm. When the FDA gets stricter, good drugs wait longer to save lives, and companies do less research because of the cost of the lengthy process. We see the lives lost taking available unsafe medicines, but many people die from drug lag and drug loss. Trade-offs would cease to exist alongside scarcity, but resources are finite.
