“Affordable” Healthcare

To say that prices should be reasonable or affordable is to demand the economic realities adjust to your budget because you refuse to conform to reality. Government-imposed fees for medical care do not magically reduce the costs of that care. When the prices charged don’t cover the costs, the supply of the goods or services necessarily declines in quantity or quality. Underpriced healthcare, relative to what is needed to pay the expenses, harms the quality of the care and limits the number of people who may receive it.
