Meditations and Learnings

Some Notes on the Conflict of Visions

Through the lens of the constrained vision, sincerity is not a value and is often harmful. Far more important is an individual’s fidelity to their role and the truth.
Youth is similarly not seen as a virtue - the wisdom that comes with age is worth mining, while the undirected passion of the young is worthless.
Systems that evolve are more suited to their function, robust, and efficient than anything an individual or collective could design. No human, or group of humans, could hold in their heads the millions of variables and interactions required to plan such a system. Even over time, as context changes, the costs of unpredictability are usually far greater than that of inappropriate application.
