Many millions of years ago, the Congo river grew wider and split genetically identical apes into two areas. Vegetation surrounded one group; the other found itself in the presence of many gorillas. Those with abundant plant life evolved into loving bonobos. The others learned to resolve conflict with violence and evolved into chimpanzees.
