I see a parallel between the expectation that
- ‘white’ people should fix the problems for ‘black’ people that they supposedly caused,
and that,
- tech should fix the problems for society that tech has caused.

Perhaps looking to that which created the problem for the solution is not time well spent.
In the latter case (a problem I more readily see), I believe we’d benefit from better educating the population in epistemology. “What is ‘truth’?” “How do I obtain it?” “Do I ever have it?”
