Even the army, incentivised to be inclusive, rejects individuals with IQs over 83 as they are a negative investment and are not worth the training. This has implications on the ability of these people with these low IQs to function productively in society.
My bias is to see this as further confirmation that something like Universal Basic Income should be tried. Any of us who have IQs at an average or above-average level are simply lucky. Those people who, through no fault of their own, find themselves without value in our economy should nevertheless be supported.
