Cells work in synchrony without completely sacrificing sovereignty, as is true of organs and other elements which constitute the whole of the body. Cancer cells work in accordance to selfish goals but these goals are in discord with the whole and are suicidal in the long term. The cancer of the culture are those short term gains of stealing a jam or biting a style, scraping off the bounty of others’ hard work, snapping a selfie, posting it, and moving on.
