Culture is Just as Biological as Genetics

The overlap in generations of humans and the long development times of infants allows for easy propagation and cumulation of culture. We are genetically configured to be cultural and it serves as an off boarding of evolutionary information. Without accumulated ancestral knowledge a human baby would die because they are reliant for many years on others, mainly the parents, and those carers are reliant on learned ways of attending to the basic requirements. Culture is fragile however, and unlike genes, prone to loss.
