Rapman has achieved something special, this has had me thinking pointedly since leaving the cinema, and experiencing emotions since the opening credits. Most of these emotions encircled a nihilistic sense that these gang feuds would inevitably perpetuate without end. At no moment could I bring myself to confidently direct my frustrations at a single character. Each person was a product of their unchosen nature interacting with their unchosen environment. The cyclical nature would involve a number of individuals enlisted reluctantly or at the level of game playing into their postcode crew. After a tragic indecent this would then ultimately transition into a deep investment. With each member acquiring a real sense of skin in the game the violence would mount to a crescendo and then, after many killings and incarcerations, resume a steady state of pointless conflict until the next massacre.
