I’ve been thinking about the nature of a certain type of liberal to view nuclear energy as an inconvenient solution because it lacks what they believe to be the necessary human suffering for our “crimes against nature”.
There seems to me to be a kind of person who dislikes humanity such they would prefer to see it endure a punishment of sorts as a requirement of addressing climate issues. It is a twisted idea of retributive justice with mankind as the perpetrator in need of castigation.
