Noumenon was a difficult concept for me to grasp. Is is often contrasted with phenomenon which we understand to be an object or event that we have senses or perceived. Noumenon stands in relation to this as an object of event which exists independent of perception or senses. It can be saus that Phenomenon is what is observed, noumenon is is what is.
