A result of fusing immune cells with cancer cells, the hybridoma cells have the antibody immune cells’ producing power and the cancer cells’ longevity. Antibodies are then tailor made in the lab to bind to cancer cells and flag them for destruction. The antibodies themselves could even be modified to be deadly to said cells.
With the ability to manufacture antibodies in this manner we can also fight autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, or tackle organ transplant rejection.
