As an atheist I have been resistant to the notion that a mass loss of interest in religion could be anything other than positive. More recently I am not so sure, and Douglas Murray is somebody who makes a persuasive argument for why this may not be true. As he puts it, “perhaps the only this worse than religion is its absence”.
I highly recommend this interview if you are not yet persuaded. Ignore the awful camera work, just listen to the important discussion.
