Also known as the is-ought fallacy it describes the derivation of what ought to be from what is.
An example would be that without medical intervention the human life expectancy would be about 30 years and therefore to interfere with this is morally wrong. Another would be arguing for the morality of wars given their occurrence throughout all of recorded history.
