Cross-Examination of an Accuser

Two of the load-bearing pillars of our judicial system are the requirement of no reasonable doubt for a charge of guilt, and the assumption of innocence until proven guilty. Even with those who agree with me on the importance of these two things we have disagreed about whether an accuser should be allowed to avoid cross-examination from the accused.

It is my opinion that if self-representation is something worth protecting, and this could be debated, removing the right of the self-represented to cross-examine their accuser therefore assumes guilt in some small way.
